Description
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS), which are part of the department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), expect to fund a managed disposal service that will remove, account for, scrap and / or recycle any residual assets from our Market Surveillance activities, and provide destruction certificates as required. The types of waste covered will include, but is not limited to WEEE, vehicle parts, textiles, children's toys, chemicals, batteries, and timber. We are hosting a virtual market engagement event to give an overview of the requirement, answer any outstanding questions and provide an environment for potential bidders to network. BEIS anticipates that an awarded contract will be expected to run from May 2021 to March 2022 with the potential to extend to an additional year.
