L-248.10 SPIKE ISLAND TOW PATH WORKS (Phase 2)

The purpose of the contract is the re-surfacing in dense bitumen macadam (DBM) of a section of the existing tow-path adjacent to the Sankey Canal at Spike Island , Widnes. The works comprise the re-surfacing in DBM of 171m length x 2.5m width of existing gravel and stone surfaced towpath path including installation of pin kerb edging to back of tow-path. The location is the Sankey Canal at Spike Island, Widnes. Access to the site and compound location is off Queensway (A557) Widnes, via the entrance to Tarmac Depot (Unit 10).
