Description

The South London Waste Partnership is made up of four London local authorities; London Borough of Croydon (LBC), Royal Borough of Kingston (RBK), London Borough of Merton (LBM) and London Borough of Sutton (LBS) working together to provide improved and more cost-effective waste management services to their residents (Partnership). Contract Waste is currently collected at the kerbside using a twin stream collection methodology under the Collection Contract. The Collection Contract commenced in 2015 and the contractor collects a number of segregated Waste Streams, including the following: Waste Stream 1 - Fully comingled cans, glass, plastic, paper and card. Waste Stream 2 - Cans, glass and plastic. Waste Stream 3 - Paper and card. - NOT IN SCOPE Waste Stream 4 - Street cleansing, caged vehicles and fly tipped waste For the Services being procured under this tender, the Partnership will arrange for the delivery of Contract Waste to the Contractor's Nominated Receipt Point. The Authority will consider more than one Contractor and more than one Nominated Receipt Point for each Waste Stream. Waste Stream 1, Waste Stream 2, and Waste Stream 4 are available to bidders as part of this Service. Compositional analysis is available for Waste Stream 4 only. In the interest of clarity, Waste Stream 3 is out of the scope of this procurement.
