Description
This is a Contracts Award Notice. From 1st October 2023 the Care Quality Commission is required to exercise the maternity and newborn safety investigation (MNSI) programme functions previously exercised by the Healthcare Safety Investigation Branch (HSIB), which was a part of NHS England. By statutory Directions, the above referenced contract was transferred from NHS England to CQC. The contract was initially procured by NHS England in January 2023 for the initial term of 12 months. The purpose of this notice is to confirm the transfer of the contract to CQC and to publish the contract award for the full term, including any optional extensions. This procurement was undertaken through the Crown Commercial Service's G-Cloud 13 Framework Agreement (RM1557-13), Lot 3 Cloud Support, following the Direct Award process. The Contract is awarded for an initial period of 12 months with an option to extend for up to 12 months. The Total Awarded Value is maximum of all charges including any optional contract extensions.
