Description
Body Worn Video provides evidential visual and audio footage which is uploaded to a Digital Evidence Management Solution (DEMS) where it is stored, reviewed, edited & shared as required. Key to this is the requirement for any BWV supplier to have an existing full integration with the current BTP DEMS solution (NICE Investigate). As a National Police Service BTP operate over a large geographical area and therefore any BWV supplier must provide equipment and a supporting infrastructure that is designed at source to work remotely and independently from the need (if required) to return to a physical location to review, upload, download footage & recharge the camera without additional hardware or software. Nationally, Police Forces are required to align their Body Worn Video Solutions to the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE) codes of practice.
