Description
The heating solution across school is via four gas fired Hamworthy boilers, which were installed circa 2011. These are now nearing the end of their economic life. In addition to aged boilers, one of the circulation pumps has failed meaning that the current heating solution has a single point of failure. Cost of the pump replacement is considered uneconomic given the overall age of the system Bidders are asked to submit a formal tender for the installation and servicing of a bespoke HVAC solution for all the teaching areas, school hall plus some additional office spaces. Bidders are to include the ongoing maintenance of the existing suite of HVAC units already on site, along with any new installations as part of this tender. The mechanical building services works include but are not limited to: All measurements are approximate • Supply, delivery and installation of heating/cooling system to main school hall - 145 m2 • Supply, delivery and installation of heating/cooling system to school staff room - 47 m • Supply, delivery and installation of heating/cooling system to Early Years classroom space - 119 m2 • Supply, delivery and installation of heating/cooling system to 3 xYear 1/2 classrooms space each totalling 52 m2 • Supply, delivery and installation of heating/cooling system to 2 x Year 3/4 classroom spaces each totalling 51m2 • Supply, delivery and installation of heating/cooling system to Headteacher's office - 12m2 • Supply, delivery and installation of heating/cooling system to staff planning room - 12 m2 • Supply, delivery and installation of heating/cooling system to Deputy Headteacher's room - 8m2 • Supply, delivery and installation of heating/cooling system to library - 18m2 In accordance with The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England & Wales) Regulations 2007 SI 2007/991 amended by SI 2007/1669, SI 2007/3302 and SI 2008/647 there will be a requirement for the existing and new installation to be inspected every 5 years. A current cost for this is to be included in the tender paperwork but will be considered for indicative purposes only. A maintenance schedule for both the current unitsplus the newly installed units is to be included.
