Description

Bristol City Council wishes to test market interest and invite proposals to deliver a High Street Delivery Plan and Improvements for Filwood Broadway High Street in South Bristol. As part of the Levelling Up Funded 'Transforming Filwood Broadway' regeneration project, the Delivery Plan will aim to re-animate the high street, delivering projects that create inclusive economic and cultural growth to improve the life of residents. This work will build on many years of engagement and work with local residents and stakeholders, and it is intended that study will build on this legacy to better connect the regeneration work with local economic development, food strategies, safety improvements, culture, community and public art, and develop clear deliverable improvement plans. The Council is looking to appoint a multi-disciplinary team with the relevant experience in: • high street renewal and business development • area strategies/action plans • economic development • public art • capital works delivery Stage One of the open-call process asks for project team details, motivation and three examples of previous projects. The second stage will shortlist three (this number has the potential to increase as explained in the EOI) teams to provide detailed quotations. It is expected that the scope of works will constitute three phases: analysis and engagement, strategy development, and delivery. Please review the accompanying Project Brief and Scope for a detailed overview of the project and scope of works required. The estimated total project value is £290,000, including capital works delivery. This professional services commission has an estimated contract value of approximately £95,000, with this value rising to approximately £125,000 (if options to extend are pursued) to cover stages 1 to 3 including the detailed design of capital works, subject to an agreed scope to be determined through the development of stages 1 and 2. The contract will start in May 2024, and is expected to last approx. 8-12 months, with an option to extend for 4-6 months depending on the agreed improvement works.
