Description
Wokingham Borough Council are inviting tenders for the provision of a mental health service for people with mild to moderate mental health needs. The purpose of this service is to support resident's wellbeing/mental health and provide mitigation to the root causal factors, enhancing both individual and community resilience and underpinning the delivery of key health and social care objectives. The service will support the Council's work to manage the Covid 19 pandemic and its direct/indirect impact on residents' mental health, including the effect of the disease itself and increased isolation, anxiety, stress and depression generated from the measures to combat the pandemic, as well as economic fallout. The service needs to be inclusive, ethically and culturally relevant and able to meet the wellbeing/mental needs of a diverse range of residents in the Wokingham Borough. The service will develop a delivery model and pathways which demonstrate how it will support those with mild to moderate mental health needs, for instance including non-medical interventions such as social prescribing, self-management, peer support, signposting, and activities.
