Description
This Project allows for the deployment of a Virtual AIS System using fixed, afloat and mobile equipment. Virtual AtoN AIS is to be deployed from the Planning Centre, Harwich using Trinity Houses existing Central Monitoring and Control System (CMCS). The system design provides Trinity House with the ability to deploy Virtual AtoN AIS, and critical to the Project, is the ability to verify that these deployed aids are as specified, with verification and integrity being monitored using the existing CMCS. The Project use equipment as to a Trinity House specification, which will have an interface integrated into the current CMCS system. This will thereby allow the Monitoring Officer, under instruction from the Director of Navigation Requirements, to deploy Virtual AtoN AIS using the CMCS system as the configuration interface. The system also allows for a real time Virtual AtoN AIS verification system is to be developed, such that the parameters of the deployed Virtual aids can be confirmed and monitored using the CMCS system.
