Description
Cormac Solutions Ltd are seeking to appoint a competent and experienced contractor for a subcontract works package for Portreath Erissey Retaining Wall. 5 sections of drystone highway retaining wall supporting the northbound carriageway of the B3300 New Portreath Road have collapsed due to flooding and scour. The collapsed sections of wall are 9m (Ch88 to 97), 14m (Ch129 to 143), 16m (Ch196 to 212), 16m (Ch391 to 407) and 12m (Ch506 to 518) long. The works will include the reconstruction of each of the collapsed sections of retaining wall with a piled wall with pile cap. Where the front face of the piles are exposed, precast concrete panels are to be anchored into the pile cap to prevent erosion. The retained height of the areas to be reconstructed varies from 1.70m to 2.28m.
