Branksome Chine Beach Hut Balustrades

Branksome Chine is located on the eastern part of the Poole seafront approximately 4km from the Sandbanks Ferry and 2km from Bournemouth Pier. A concrete promenade extends the length of the seafront with a mixture of single storey and two storey beach huts extending along much its length. \r \r BCP Council has assessed that the existing handrails that provide fall protection from the elevated parapet wall of the beach huts between Branksome Chine and Canford Cliffs Chine need to be replaced to meet current building safety requirements and provide a visual enhancement to the seafront promenade. \r \r The brief is to replace approximately 420m of existing handrails and balustrades on beach hut blocks at Branksome Chine. Balustrades and handrails are only being replaced on the lower level of beach huts along the line of the existing concrete parapet wall and stairwells.
