External Accreditation and Moderation of the HSE Programme of Regulatory Training for New Inspectors

Trainee inspectors must complete the Regulators' Training Programme (RTP). The RTP is currently a two-year course leading to a diploma qualification in 'Regulatory Occupational Health an Safety' at SCQF level 11 (post-graduate - equivalent to RQF level 7). It is important to HSE that we can demonstrate the quality, rigour and high standard of our training programmes. For this reason we require that the core elements of the 'RTP' be externally accredited and moderated leading to the award of a diploma qualification in at RQF level 7/SCQF level 11.
