Description
JNCC is undertaking an offshore survey to collect data to assist in monitoring the effectiveness of proposed fisheries management measures covering 42 English Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) including North-West of Jones Bank (NWJB) Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ). This survey will have a specific focus on understanding how soft sediment communities respond to human induced pressures and what recovery from abrasion looks like in these habitats. JNCC wishes to commission a contract to undertake an analysis of demersal taxa present in Baited Remote Underwater Video (BRUV) footage to be collected on the TC25035 survey of North-West of Jones Bank MCZ. Between 24 and 30 BRUV deployments of approximately 60 minutes are planned within the survey area both inside and surrounding the MCZ.
