Description
The Council requires a supplier for vehicle parts. The Council owns, operates and hires a diverse range of vehicles ranging from small cars and vans, light and heavy commercials, passenger vehicles, refuse collection vehicles. The Council's fleet is managed and maintained by the Council's Fleet team and workshop based at Southcote Road. The workshop operates 52 weeks a year. It's opening hours are 05:30 - 19:00, Monday - Friday. The operation of the Council's fleet is essential to the delivery of front line services, which have an affect on the lives of the residents and visitors to Bournemouth. The supply of vehicle spare parts is essential to ensure that vehicle downtime is at a minimum. The length of the contract is for three years with the option to extend the contract annually for a further two years. Therefore, if all extensions were taken, the full length of the contract would be for five years. The estimated value of the contract including any possible extensions is £1,500,000. This figure is an estimate and the Council can't guarantee that this value of business can be generated during the period of the contract. The contract will be used as and when required.
