Description
The Domestic Abuse Emergency, Safe and Supported Accommodation will support people and their families who are experiencing or who have been subject to domestic abuse, providing high quality safe and supportive accommodation and promoting resilience, independence, and healthy lives. The Council was seeking to commission a Domestic Abuse Emergency, Safe and Supported Accommodation Service for people who are experiencing domestic abuse. The service will offer emergency or supported housing, to address their needs and to support recovery to re-establish them into independent accommodation, in a timely manner. The accommodation will provide a psychologically informed environment that promotes modern standards of living, is safe, secure and provides individuals with dignity and privacy. The service will work flexibly and ensure provision of a range of emergency accommodation for people who need to be accommodated due to domestic abuse, this can include single men or women, or men/women with their children. It will meet the needs of people who have further complexities. This service is VAT exempt.

The Provider will need to be a registered provider of social housing. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/registered-providers-of-social-housing Where domestic abuse service providers are not a registered provider of social housing, they can partner with a registered provider to submit a consortium bid, however the lead provider will be the Registered Landlord.
