Description
The University wishes to appoint a Contractor or Contractors to supply a system for high-throughput hard and soft x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy for non-destructive probing of the bulk and surface chemical environment in material systems (including buried interfaces, layered 2D materials, and thin coatings) to be based in the Henry Royce Institute. The University of Manchester will be home to a new national research and innovation centre in advanced materials, the Sir Henry Royce Institute (SHRI). The new Institute, supported by industrial partners, will have its Hub in Manchester. The founding partners, comprise the Universities of Sheffield, Leeds, Liverpool, Cambridge, Oxford and Imperial College London, along with National Nuclear Labs (NNL) and the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE).
