Description
This test will examine and report back upon the methods required for land managers to engage and also to deliver cross-boundary environmental opportunities to optimise local Natural Capital assets. The Test will consider three aspects of land management utilising some of the common themes identified from the first test and the subsequent report. 1) How might collaboration between land managers for environmental delivery be developed and delivered? 2) How could ELM remove the cost barriers to collaboration and ensure that it is value for money to do so? 3) A close examination of the importance of advice and facilitation to deliver the collaborative approach. The resulting protocol will cover the identification of the assets, how best to manage them, how to work across farm-boundaries and how to incentivise the necessary opportunity-management. The work would be run around farmer response to five environmental proposals across all 63 farms of the 23 Burns area
