Description
The purpose of this PIN is to assess interest and availability of Suppliers to carry out a Gap Analysis titled "What are the neglected and underfunded areas of antimicrobial resistance research carried out for the benefit of low- and middle-income countries?". GAMRIF is part of the Global Health Security (GHS) Programme, within the International Directorate, at the Department of Health and Social Care. It is a £50m ODA (Official Development Assistance) fund that supports early stage, innovative AMR research and development (R&D) for the benefit of people in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). GAMRIF is a 'One Health' fund that invests in product development research across human, animal and environmental health. The fund supports high-quality research from around the world that has the poten-tial to lead to tangible innovations that will help to prevent, detect and/or treat drug-resistant infections in resource-poor settings. GAMRIF's specific aims are to: • establish international research partnerships and support research competitions that fund innovation and development of new technologies and interventions to tackle AMR • leverage investment from other partners and donors to support sustainable financing in AMR R&D • establish research partnerships using a 'One Health' approach • fund projects that will develop solutions specifically for LMICs, where the burden of AMR is great-est Please read the attached file for more details and send your interest via email: Sarah.Cordery@dhsc.gov.uk
