Description

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU) on behalf of NHS England - Midlands is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver integrated healthcare services at the new prison at Glen Parva and HMP Onley and HMP Rye Hill. Glen Parva (Lot 1) is a new prison which is currently being constructed as a Category C Resettlement prison, with a population of 1,680 men. It is expected that the contract will go live from April 2022 and the expected arrival of the first wave of patients (ramp up of 40 per week) from May 2023. HMP Rye Hill and HMP Onley (Lot 2) sits on the border of Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. The prisons are approximately 500 metres apart. HMP Rye Hill is a Cat B prison containing a male population circa 664. There is to be an expansion of the prison in early 2023, this expansion will accommodate, approximately, a further 400 prisoners. HMP Onley is a Cat C prison containing a male prison population of circa 742. The procurement will be for ONE contract for both establishments; however, each establishment will have its own dedicated team. The contract for this lot will commence 1st October 2022.
