Description
Merseytravel, acting as the delivery arm of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority for transport services, has been the lead administrator for a multi operator and multi modal ticketing scheme for decades. The scheme is widely known by the travelling public and is accepted on all local transport services across the current Merseyside boundary. As the scheme and available technology has evolved, there is a need to develop a revised scheme agreement that aligns to current practice, legislation and DfT multi operator ticketing guidance, but also to best practice across the industry. It is envisaged that any revised formal agreement will align to current arrangements, as well as allow for the future development of a multi-operator multi-modal ticketing scheme across the region as our ticketing programme evolves.
