Description
Based on the Chesterfield Royal Hospital site, the Hartington Unit is Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s main inpatient service for Chesterfield and North Derbyshire residents with acute mental health needs. The Hartington Unit consists of three adult (and older adult) acute inpatient wards called Morton Ward, Pleasley Ward and Tansley Ward, an outpatient service, memory clinic, community mental health teams, occupational therapy team and a crisis resolution and home treatment service. Morton Ward, Pleasley Ward and Tansley Ward are mixed 24 bedded adult acute inpatient wards, with Pleasley Ward also catering for older adults. The works are the removal and safe disposal of existing light fittings identified within the live ward areas and their replacement by the installation of new Hilclare Lighting LED secure fittings including making good to plasterboard and suspended ceiling areas following installations. Contractors to be considered for the tender process must show that they have experience of working in NHS mental health 'live' ward locations due to the sensitivity and risk to all parties in working in this type of environment.
