Description
Surrey County Council are tendering for the Monitoring Attendance for Looked After Children Service Contract. The current contract expires in July 2017. Surrey County Council have a statutory duty to safeguard children and to promote the education of children in care. This vulnerable group are potentially part of the Children Missing Education cohort under S19 of the 1996 Education Act (amended by the Children, School and Families Act 2010) and monitoring attendance at the defined provision is a priority for the Local Authority as is ensuring access to an education that is suitable for every individual's age and ability. The aims and objectives of this contract are: - The monitoring of attendance through daily manual telephone calls - Production of attendance reports - Production of Personal Education Plans
