Description
Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council is seeking tenders for the procurement of an Independent Advocacy and Independent Visitor Service to Children and Young People. Advocacy is about empowering children and young people to make sure that their views and wishes are heard at all times and represented in decision making processes about their lives. The Council's vision is that all children and young people in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) feel listened to and empowered, have choice and control over their support, and have their rights upheld. Furthermore, the views put forward by children and young people should inform the development of the Council's services. Independent Visitors provide children in care with a trusted adult to visit, advise and befriend them. Research indicates that a long-term, safe and trusted independent adult can make a significant difference to the wellbeing of a child in care.
