Pavements Framework

Prior information Notice: Highways England has a requirement to procure a Pavement Framework.Over the Roads Investment Strategy period 2015-2020)the investment in pavements is circa £3.3bn,approximately27% of the total,and we anticipate resurfacing over 3,440 miles of the Strategic RoadNetwork (trunk road network in England).The Framework will be primarily related to the supply of materials,plant and labour to carry out bituminous and concrete patching, surfacing and pavement construction operations including planing (milling), paving,ironwork and associated ancillary works,adjustment and renewal,in-situ and ex-situ recycling,footway surfacing and asphalt kerbing.The scope may also include emergency response.This will support Highways England's investment and maintenance programmes including:Renewal of Roads andBridges Programme,Smart Motorways,Complex Infrastructure and Regional Investment Programme. The anticipated contract length will be 4 years and will be divided into Regional Lots.
