Description

In recent years Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (The Council) has successfully taken steps to attract new businesses, develop existing businesses and to create an enterprise culture. However the Barnsley economy remains too small, the town is unable to supports its working population. We need to build on existing progress already made by: • Attracting new businesses • Developing and supporting existing businesses • Creating a more competitive private sector employment base This contract is to establish a Framework Agreement for professional support services, across a number of different disciplines which the Council can call off from awarded Providers, providing a bank of business support specialists to supply ad hoc business coaching to businesses in the Barnsley area. Bidders should have experience in business support in one or more of the following disciplines: Lot 1 HR (Procedural and Leadership), Lot 2 Marketing (Strategic & Digital), Lot 3 Access to Finance, Lot 4 Health and Safety, Lot 5 Process Innovation, Lot 6 Sales, Lot 7 Procurement, Tender Readiness & Bid Writing, Lot 8 Supply Chain & Purchasing, and Lot 9 Strategic Business Management. The Council intends to appoint one Provider per lot, except for lot 3 'Access to Finance' where two Providers will be awarded.
