Description
NHS Corby Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver the Service to serve the Corby area. The Urgent Care Service comprises the timely treatment of illness or injury in a primary care setting on an un-scheduled basis. The new Urgent Care Centre (UCC) service in Corby will bring together all existing urgent care services to ensure a single point of access for patients. The UCC will provide timely treatment for less serious illnesses and injuries which require immediate care but which do not require the full services of an Accident & Emergency Department. To reduce overall costs and deliver the aims and objectives outlined in the business case, bidders will need to consider throughout their tender how they will: • reduce A&E attendances by 25% reduce paediatric 24 hour emergency admissions by 25% and adults by 50% • ensure appropriate use of the UCC • reduce emergency admissions by working collaboratively with community based services.
