Description
The Strathy South project proposes the establishment of a 132/33kV substation to allow the connection of the Strathy South windfarm on the network. As part of these works, there is a requirement for approximately 5.5 km of new 132kV underground cable constructed from the site of Strathy South 132/33kV Substation. Due to phasing of works, there is a requirement for an advanced works package to be tendered for installation of the cable ducts. The cable ducts run under a road which will serve as the access track for the windfarm development therefore, these works will need to be completed prior to the windfarm site start date.
