Description

The Secretary of State for Health is issuing this Invitation to Tender (“ITT”) in connection with a competitive procurement to undertake a study of the agency cost element of the rate of NHS-funded Nursing Care (NHS FNC) in England. The purpose of the study is to: • consider and identify the agency cost component at a national level, of providing registered nursing care as part of a package of care in a nursing care home in England; • deliver an estimate of the agency cost component of NHS FNC by region, which can be used to inform re-calculation of the overall and regional rates of NHS FNC; • provide evidence and analysis of the main agency cost drivers for nursing care providers; and • deliver a qualitative analysis of evidence to inform a view on best practice in agency usage across this sector.
