Description
OVERVIEW Our children's services team is leading the way with several exciting initiatives to further improve the lives of children and families in Blackpool. A significant element of this work is the development and implementation of our new multi-agency safeguarding hub (MASH). This new team will essentially be our front door to Children's Services, and will ensure that contacts and referrals meeting the threshold for preventative or statutory intervention are referred to the right teams for an immediate or more planned response. Our aim is to provide the right service to the right children, at the right time. The MASH team is focused on applying a clear threshold to cases using Blackpool's continuum of need document. The team is comprised of practitioners from a range of partner agencies, and wider children's services partners. DOMESTIC ABUSE SUPPORT SERVICE GENERAL REQUIREMENT: Within this Multi-agency team we are seeking a partner organisation for rolling provision of DA specialist support. This will contribute to the daily triaging of cases to determine level of need, and deliver direct support and signposting to domestic abuse services to families and children in the context of domestic abuse. Day to day management of this function will come from the Council through the MASH Manager. This rolling provision will support pathways into services for cases that are domestic abuse cases that do not require a children's social care input. This will require work with the family and identification of and referral into relevant support services as appropriate. Signposting to DA services appropriate for working with the victim, perpetrator and child. In addition, undertake follow up to check that services have been put in to support the family. This will be at Level 2 & 3 of the Continuum of Need. Level 4 Child Protection cases will go straight in as referrals to CSC.
