Description
To provide and deliver to staff working as part of the management/ leadership team in their setting (including child minders) or the Child Protection Designate who are attending an Advanced Course for the first time. Course relates to: Section 3: The Safeguarding & Welfare requirements Points: 3.4 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 3.8 Course Content: l ?The referral system l ?Implementing Signs of Safety l ?The role and responsibilities of the Child Protection Lead within the setting l ?Practical exploration and implementation of threshold decisions l ?Managing allegations against staff l ?Updates of national guidance and procedures - including the development of policy and procedure guidance. l ?Implementation of 'Duty of Care' across the setting including awareness raising, staff induction, training. l ?Exploration of challenging topics including online safety, radicalisation, CSE (Child Sexual Exploitation) and HBV (Honour Based Violence including FGM - Female Genital Mutilation) Learning Outcomes: l ?To have a working knowledge of the child protection system including the referral pathways l ?To develop confidence in managing concerns and allegations l ?To ensure that staff can make timely decisions in this complex area 4 training sessions, 25 November 2019, 7 December 2019, 4 June 2020, 27 June 2020 £650 x 4 = £2,600 - ED1255
