Description

Cheshire East Council are recommissioning the Adult's Residential and Nursing care home service, delivered across the borough. This is currently known as 'Accommodation with Care' (AWC). Under the Care Act, the Local Authority has a statutory responsibility to ensure this service is available for the residents of Cheshire East. Contracted care home providers deliver high quality, safe and personalised accommodation, with care, to Adults over 18. The AWC service promotes choice, dignity, control and quality of life for all residents and provide modernised care and support services that deliver value for money. This contract includes the following provisions; Mental Health, Learning Disability, Physical Disability, Intermediate Care and Discharge to Assess. The AWC contract will go live in April 2026 with the intention to run across 5-7 seven years, including any extension options. The final contract term will be determined following the outcome of market engagement events that the Council will be hosting throughout Summer 2025.
