CCS039 Family Justice Review Assessments - Soft Market Testing

THIS IS NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION Derbyshire County Council (DCC) are looking to commission qualified experts to conduct the following types of assessments during the Public Law Outline (PLO) process: • Cognitive • Psychological • Psychiatric • Independent Social Workers The PLO process sets out the duties local authorities have when thinking about taking a case to court to ask for a Care Order to take a child into care or for Supervision Order to be made. This is often described as initiating public law care proceedings. Assessments are a key part of that process and contribute to decision made about the future of the family and wellbeing of the child. These assessments need to be completed and filed within 12 weeks of the start of the PLO process. Due to the nature of this process the request for assessment may not be issued at the beginning of the process, therefore expediting turnaround time in completing assessment reports is vital to achieving successful outcomes.
