Description

To provide a foot-drop specialist Functional Electronic Stimulation (FES) service people who have walking difficulty subsequent to an upper motor neurone neurological condition. This includes, but is not limited to, conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, brain injury, cerebral palsy, Parkinson's disease, hereditary spastic paraparesis, transvers myelitis, dystonia and functional neurological disorders. The service complies with ACPIN's clinical practice guidelines. Referrals are accepted for both adults and children from health care professionals and triaged against the ICB's criteria. If judged to be appropriate for FES treatment, patients are invited to an OML clinic for an assessment. Services provided from the following locations: Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, Odstock Road, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP2 8BJ This contract is for a period of 12 months from 01/04/26 to 31/03/27.
