NQT Induction and Accreditation Programme

It is a statutory requirement of the local authority to provide or commission a NQT Programme for maintained schools in the area and offer a provision to academies. NQT accreditation can only be provided by local authorities, teaching schools and NIPT (National Induction Programme for Teachers). There are only a small number of maintained schools in the local authority; some academies/academy trusts now make their own arrangements for the induction element and or the induction and accreditation element of the programme via NIPT.
