Description
As part of a major Project aimed at tackling racism and racial inequality in sport in their home nations and across the UK, UK Sport and the four Home Country Sports Councils (Sport England, sportscotland, Sport Wales and Sport Northern Ireland) (the "Collaborators") wish to invite proposals for capturing the lived experiences of people from the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities in accessing, being involved in, and being excluded from sport. The overall aims will be: • To increase knowledge and understanding of the 'lived experience' of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds accessing, involved in or excluded from sport (i.e. participants - at school, in the community, in clubs, at performance levels; athletes; volunteers - including volunteer coaches and administrators; workforce; parents and carers) by appropriate facilitation of sharing experiences so people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities can be seen, heard and listened to • In this respect, to establish a Forum where people can talk frankly about their lived experiences of racism, including historical and present-day issues, without criticism or prejudice
