Description
Kent and Medway Towns Fire Authority (the Authority)wishes to enter into a 4 year contract with the successful Supplier for the provision of Nominal Roll Boards when required by The Authority. A method to improve on the system currently used is required, utilising nominal roll boards that can receive personal issue tallies. In addition, sector boards are provided, which also receive the tallies, which can be used to identify personnel working in a sector. This forms part of a system (already used by technical rescue) that is refered to as the three tally system. Tally One: Identify Personnel at Incident, Tally Two: Identify Personnel in a Sector, Tally Three (BA Tally): Identify Personnel in a risk area. This system can be either an eyeball (low tech) solution or a electronic (high-tech) solution. The proposed initial solution will be a low tech solution, but with an option of upgrading at a later date to high tech version using barcode, RFID or GPS information.
