Description
For the avoidance of doubt this is not a Call for Competition this is to initiate a Market Engagement/Soft Market Testing process. Staffordshire County Council and Partners are seeking to recommission the current Shared Lives Service which is due to expire on 31st March 2020. The Shared Lives Service is a form of care and support where Customers share the family home of a specially recruited and trained Shared Lives Carer and their family. The purpose of the Shared Lives Service is to support Customers to live as independently as possible. The objective is to provide the best possible support in accordance with the lifestyle and wishes of each individual Customer, incorporating a person-centred, asset-based approach to service delivery. The main purpose of the engagement is to gain an understanding of the Providers that would be interested in delivering this and to look at how the provision can be delivered. The Council will be reviewing other Shared Lives Services, looking at the positives and best practice of those Services and discussing barriers to delivery and how these can be overcome. This is an opportunity for you, as a Provider to have your say and return your suggestions to us so we can ascertain how the market would look at delivering the service in the most effective and efficient way. To start the market engagement process, an event will be held to obtain feedback from interested providers to help shape the model and future provision. The event will take place on Tuesday 18th June 2019 from 1.30 pm till 4.30 pm. The event will be held in the Rudyard Suite, Ground Floor, Staffordshire Place 1, Staffordshire County Council, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2LP. If you would like to attend this event, please contact Sarah Taylor, Commissioning Officer, on 01785 277089 or e-mail sarah.taylor@staffordshire.gov.uk to confirm your place. If you are unable to attend the event, there is a soft market testing questionnaire available for you to complete instead. Please contact Sarah Taylor for a copy of this.
