CORE CAPRICORN - 3MW Battery Energy Storage System

CORE Capricorn Limited, In partnership with Plymouth City Council, is looking to procure a c. 3MW / 4.5 MWh Battery Energy Storage System. The System will be collocated with an existing Solar PV project in South Devon, but will be electrically separate up to the DNO switchroom. We have assumed a battery duration of 1.5hrs (3MW / 4.5 MWh) however will consider proposals for system of 1 hour(s) or greater. The size of the Battery Energy Storage System will be driven by the overall project economics. We are interested in options for a modular system that can be expanded over time. The anticipated deadline for the procurement of the battery system (including a down payment) is by early July 2022. With the development on the system to take place over the course of 2022-2023.
