Open Space Assessment Update

Sheffield’s current citywide ‘Assessment of Open Space, Sport and Recreational Provision for Sheffield’ (see Appendix 1) was completed in 2008 in accordance with the methodology set out in Planning Policy Guidance Note 17 (PPG17) and its companion guide. The assessment is a key piece of evidence for the Council, but is now out of date and requires refreshing, including taking account of new policies and strategies for open space provision in the city.
