Description
This Tender covers 2 separate services as described below. The Council intends to appoint a single provider to deliver these services. For details of possible sub-contracting and consortium arrangements refer to the Tender Guidance document. 1. Giving People with Learning Disabilities a Voice in Worcestershire: The purpose of this service is to provide an integrated approach to the various elements currently in place to ensure that people with a Learning Disability have a voice through self-advocacy, being members of the Learning Disability Partnership Board and the People's Parliament. In order for this to be successful the service provider will need to ensure that people with a Learning Disability and providers in this field are made aware of the services. The appointed provider will need to demonstrate effective partnership working and networking throughout Worcestershire for the benefit of all people with a Learning Disability. 2. Easy Read Translation Service: The purpose of the service is to make a range of information produced by the Council more accessible, for example to people with learning disabilities, by translating documents in to an Easy Read format using appropriate words and pictures. The format used must be reliable, robust and consistently applied across the County. Full details of the requirements of both services are set out in the Service Specification (Appendix 1 to this Tender).
