Description
The Ocean Country Partnership Programme (OCPP) is partnered with the Government of Solomon Islands to explore opportunities to support effective management of their marine environment. The partnership focuses on providing demand-led technical assistance which, through discussions with Ministry of Environment, Climate change Disaster Management and Meteorology (Environment and Conservation Division) has led to a request for OCPP to support Solomon Islands in the implementation of a country-wide ban on single use plastics. The objectives of this contract are: • To support the Environment and Conservation division of the Ministry of Environment Climate Change Disaster Management and Meteorology by subcontracting an expert consultant to design and deliver materials to inform on, and increase public awareness of, the initiative to ban single use plastics across Solomon Islands. • Produce and install informative, public-facing billboards in each province across Solomon Islands to notify communities of the ban on single use plastics, and provide additional relevant information.
