Description
Bishop Challoner Catholic Federation of Schools consists of a separate Girls' School, Boys' School and co-ed 6th Form located on one site in Shadwell (London Borough of Tower Hamlets). There are approximately 1 500 pupils across all 3 'schools' with 700 pupils in the Girls' school, 550 pupils in the Boys' school and 250 pupils in the 6th Form. There are approximately 200 teaching and administrative staff as well as visitors to the federation. The new buildings project for Bishop Challoner was completed a number years ago. Since then pupils have enjoyed the use of the state of the art facilities including the well-equipped food and design technology rooms, science labs, music rooms, art studios, sports hall, drama studio, dance studio and theatre. There are also 46 classrooms, some of which are set up as ICT suites, as well as a number of faculty offices and senior leadership offices. There is an executive head suite including a boardroom as well as administration and finance offices. All in all the floor area equates to approximately 11 000 m2. The main school cleaning takes place between 18:00 and 20:00 Monday to Friday and the service runs for 52 weeks per year. The current incumbent is Ridge Crest Cleaning Services. There are incumbent members of cleaning staff who are members of the LGPS. The current annual value of the current contract is 205 338 GBP. The contract being tendered will commence on 1.8.2017, on a 3+2 years basis.
