Leachate Treatment Plant:Remediation

Design, Supply and Commission Methane treatment Plant to act in conjunction with existing on-site plant at a closed landfill site at Mill Dam Lane Burscough near Ormskirk Lancashire. The stripping process is to be mechanical and effective with continuous flows of more than 300 litres per minute. System is to be fully automated and capable of 2 way data transfer, data aggregation and online trend analysis. Also involves associated works which are described in the Tender Documents. The existing leachate treatment plant was installed in July 1997 to address the problem of soluble methane present in the leachate from the closed landfill site. This tender exercise covers equipment and work required to ensure that the Council meets at all times the terms of United Utilities Discharge Consent.
