Description
The project scope is to provide physical security upgrades to three existing guard huts at the British High Commission in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The existing guard huts are showing signs of wear and damage and no longer meet the requirements. The works comprise upgrade of existing masonry walls to provide required ballistic protection, upgrade of referenced door and windows and replacement of referenced ballistic glazing. Upgrades are required to 3 No. Guard huts and are summarised as follows: Residence - Replacement of external windows and doors. - Access control system to door (D2) located in garage wall forming pedestrian airlock. - Upgrade of guard hut walls with internally mounted steel plate and associated works. Main Gate - Replacement and upgrade of doors, window and glazing. - Upgrade of guard hut walls with externally mounted steel plate and associated works. - External cladding of steel plate with brickslip system and associated works. SAC Gate - Replacement of door and glazing. - Upgrade of guard hut walls with steel plate and associated works. - External cladding of steel plate with brickslip system and associated works. - Internal cladding of steel plate and associated works.
