Description

Multiply is a national Department for Education (DfE) three-year adult numeracy project which is part of the Government's Levelling Up Initiative. DfE awarded South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) a Multiply allocation to increase the levels of functional numeracy in the adult population up until March 2025. Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (BMBC) has received funding from SYMCA to administer and develop the Multiply initiative across the Borough for year 2 of the project (April 2023 to March 2024). This involves delivering activities that support residents who do not already hold a level 2 maths qualification to improve their ability, understanding and use of maths in daily, home, and work life. This specification is therefore seeking expressions of interest through the DPS for competition for engagement activity/courses that can take place during the year 2 period, from 1st April 2023 to 13th March 2024.
