Description
Commercial Insurance Policy to increase Hampshire County Council's limits of liability over the primary insurance cover of £50million, required to provide appropriate indemnity for the County Council's risks. This policy provides cover for Third Party Liability claims from members of the public employees and pupils/service users. This insurance is on a Combined Liability basis and consists of Public and Products Liability, Employers' Liability and Pollution Liability and provides insurance against third party claims for injury, damage to property and financial loss arising from activities as a County Council. This includes claims against the County Council arising from the use of the Highways. A series of insurance policies provides additional layers of insurance, up to a limit of indemnity of £200 million. This policy is 'layer 4' of the excess layer Liability covers, providing a limit of indemnity of £50million over the primary indemnity and excess layers 1, 2 and 3 totalling £150million.
