Miniature Railway Concession in Poole Park

Borough of Poole is inviting proposals that seek to modernise and develop the miniature railway concession. Supplying a service and facilities that supplement activity provision within Poole Park, one of Poole's most popular public open spaces with an estimated 760,000 visitors every year. Other attractions in the Park include a 21ha lagoon with a recreation concession, bowling club, tennis courts, putting green, outdoor gym facilities and two cafés - one with an indoor ice rink and soft play area. The Park is well visited by local people and has a significant footfall especially in the summer months and during school holidays. The Council is seeking proposals from suitably experienced providers that integrate a value-for-money outcome for the Council in terms of investment and revenue whilst applying a willingness and commitment to develop the services and facilities for the potential local and day visitor markets. The Council welcomes innovative ideas and solutions for existing facilities and how these could be improved and developed in the future.
