Description
Somerset County Council has a statutory duty to supply sufficient quality school places within statutory walking distance of the home address. There is a requirement to create an expanded ASD Base at Oaklands Primary School, Yeovil. This will require the remodelling the existing ASD unit, consisting of two large rooms with breakout spaces and a larger office. There will be some remodelling to the front of the school in order to re-provide space for an after-school club. This will be carried out in the area currently called the Cyber Café. An existing reception desk will be removed and a price will be required for creating a new reception area for potential future works. Pick Everard were appointed to undertake the initial design works up to RIBA stage 4 and any further design works shall be provided by the successful bidder. The Project Management, Supervisor and QS roles shall be undertaken by Somerset County Council's internal operations team.
