Description
European Research Area Network (ERAnet) on Greenhouse Gasses in Agriculture and Silviculture (ERAGAS) Research procured under this ERAnet will focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) from agriculture. These projects provide an opportunity to build upon on previous Defra funded research including the GHG R&D Platform by reanalysing the large data sets collected in those projects in the wider context of EU data. There is also a large degree of scope to learn from other EU partners who may be developing novel and innovative technologies in this area. This work presents opportunities to fill gaps in our understanding by learning from wider EU research. This research is of a cross cutting and strategic nature, but will deliver policy relevant outcomes for sustainable production, air quality, greenhouse gas emissions, water quality, bioenergy and the wider bio - economy (i.e. food, fuel, starch, fibre, and chemical products).
