Description
Forest Research wish to replace two existing glasshouses that are beyond operational and economic life, with new glasshouse structures to current standards. The existing structures will have been completely removed and all services will have been capped off or made safe by others prior to installation of the new structure. The existing fittings will have been removed by Forest Research in advance to and will be refitted by FR upon completion. All services will be provided/replaced by others as required to your programme requirements. Each Glasshouse, size 17.0m X 6.0m is to be constructed and erected centrally upon new concrete pads and strip foundations. Eaves height to be approx 2.4m high and ridge not to exceed 3.0m high. Each glasshouse is to conform to the following standards European standard EN 13013-1 Greenhouses, annex E.12:United Kingdom Wind Loads to BS EN 1991-1-4:2005 and the corresponding UK National Annex Snow Loads to BS EN 1991-1-3:2003 and the corresponding UK National Annex Steel to BS EN 1993-1-1:2005 and BS EN 1993-1-8:2005 and the corresponding UK National Annex. The tender is divided into two lots, one for NRS Edinburgh and one for Alice Holt Farnham
